Share a gentle conversation about frustration with The Little Fox Who Wanted to Fly, an illustrated big feelings storybook for ages 4–8. Finley has a wonderful idea: build a fox-shaped kite. When it flops, his tummy feels hot and his thoughts start to buzz. With Mom beside him, he learns to pause, ask for help and try a small change.

Read, notice and try together
Read with a grown-up and follow your child’s pace. Pause at the callouts to talk, point, make a face or draw. The story introduces language for body clues, caring for feelings, asking for support and learning from a mistake. Finley stays on the ground while his kite takes flight. There is no timer, score or pressure to finish. This is a story and conversation resource; it is not an assessment, therapy or a promise of a particular learning result.
Digital format and printing
Read the PDF on a tablet or computer using a PDF reader, or print at home. Choose Fit to page to center the square pages on A4 or US Letter paper. Print pages 22–24 separately for the activities. The drawing and reflection sheets can be completed on paper, in an annotation app, or through conversation; they are not fillable form fields. No physical book, printer, paper or art supplies are included.
